Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Ranked 4th Best University in India and 7th best Medical College in India: NIRF India Ranking 2020

Kolkata : Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has emerged as the 4^th best university in the country in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Ranking 2020 that has been released by the Government of India today. The University has also been ranked 7^th among medical colleges in India. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was once again ranked the top best university in India behind other well-established and prestigious public institutions such as the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore; Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi; and Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. In 2019, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was ranked the 8^th best. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and the Vellore Institute of Technology are the only two private engineering institutes to find a place in the Top 20 engineering institutes of India in NIRF Ranking 2020. Amrita School of Medicine was ranked 7^th best medical college in the county after All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh; Christian Medical College, Vellore; National Institute of Mental Health & Neuro Sciences, Bengaluru; Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow; and Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
